Ranveer Singh loved the script of a movie, but refused to do that movie. Guess why? Because his ‘mentor’ Aditya Chopra felt that the director is not able enough and hasn’t delivered a hit film till date. Ridiculous, isn’t it?
I agree that Ranveer having no filmy background has made it big with his first film itself and the credit should go to Aditya Chopra for believing in the newcomer and giving a strong platform for him. And the minimal thing Ranveer has to do is give high respect to Adi Chopra. Fine till here.
But this kind of extreme involvement of Adi in selection of films and judging directors based on their previous films makes no sense. Adi should give his opinion. But the decision, I guess, should be made by Ranveer as it is regarding his career. Now, Adi may be right if the film really goes bad. We never know, the same film could be another blockbuster too.
